This is a pristine example of the last model built on this rear-wheel-drive platform. In 1985 61,296 rear-wheel-drive Fleetwoods were built of which 8,336 were coupes. Production of the coupe stopped half way through 1985 making this the last year for the full sized two-door. Power was provided by a 4.1 litre V8 with digital fuel injection producing 135 hp @ 4400 rpm. All Fleetwoods for 1985 came with a four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and a viscous converter clutch. Overall length was 1950" with a 3346 lb curb weight and a 3268 lb shipping weight.
Joe is the 3rd owner of this 5,000 mile coupe in triple white with the red accent d 'Elegance package (V4S option). The d 'Elegance package on this vehicle included white Sierra grain tufted leather, red interior trim, deluxe Tampico carpeting and the "Fleetwood d 'Elegance" script on the glove box. This highly optioned car has the rare and expensive Astroroof. Other rare options include Symphony Sound with integrated CB radio, Tri-Band power antenna, power mirrors, recliners, integrated garage door opener, locking fuel door, Electroluminescent opera lamps (not bulbs), Twilight and Dimming Sentinels, wire wheels, optional gear ratio plus the typical Cadillac high ordered options like cruise control, tilt-tele, illuminated vanity mirrors, and power trunk with pull down. The car was factory ordered by a Cadillac buff and Joe still has the dealer sold Vogue tires that have been replaced with a new set in 2009. This is perhaps the finest, low mile example of the pinacle of 1980 's Cadillac style. This beauty turns 25 in 2010 so watch for it on the show circuit.
